This church is now closed,  and the parish of Ballingham with Bolstone has been formally amalgamated with Little Dewchurch with Aconbury to form the new parish of Little Dewchurch with Ballingham

In February 1834 Ballingham had the dubious distinction of claiming a rabid dog – the dog, belonging to William Greenaway, bit his wife and two children then died in three days exhibiting every sign of rabies.  It was reported that ”  The sufferers have prudently  resorted to the excision of the parts.”
